The roads and highways on Gran Canaria are excellent. Many visitors
to the island like to
reserve a rental car online, pick it up at the Gran Canaria International Airport (Aeropuerto de Gran Canaria)
and motor directly to a hotel, condo or vacation resort.
From the Gran Canaria airport, one can either travel north along GC1 to Las Palmas or south the Maspalamos and
the sunny beach resorts.
The GC2 highway runs from Las Palmas to the west while GC3 runs into the
centre of the island.
